- Being responsible for the operational control of 20,000 airport car parking spaces and 4,500 car parking spaces at Central Manchester Hospitals.
- Operating a fleet of 20 PCV buses and 15 ancillary vehicles.
- Managing a team of 150 personnel.
- Introducing needs-based permit allocation policies, and flexible working within an Annualised Hours System.
- Implementing capital infrastructure such as the networked Zeag Orion automated car park system at Manchester Airport.
- Delivering a full range of sustainable travel initiatives at the Central Manchester Hospitals.
- Managing parking and access issues during the integration of two children’s hospitals onto the Central Manchester site.
David’s two areas of expertise are car park management and Passenger Carrying Vehicle operations, having worked at the coal face for many years operating a car park with 20,000 spaces and running a fleet of 35 vehicles.
